This time we are in the marine reserve “Llevant de Mallorca” located in the north-east of Mallorca.
There we find an islet popularly known as “Es faralló de cala Gat”.
We will guide you to it in a safe and controlled way, since the channel that separates the islet from the coast is usually frequented by boats. We will visit the most interesting corners of the route and the islet, which is curiously crossed by various caves, located between five and eighteen meters depth, so that several of them are doable for freedivers of any level.
These caves, when crossing, will present us a light show that penetrates through the blue windows, whether we start the dive from the north face or if we do it on the south side.
Both inside of the caves and around the islet, we can see abundant sea life of groupers, brown meagres or greater forkbeards, as well as species passing by like the greater amberjack, barracudas and maybe even tunas or manta rays. For that reason this trip is also highly recommended for all lovers of freediving photography or filming.
