The beautiful bay known locally as “Es caló d’es Monjo” is located in the municipality of Paguera.
Its location and the level of protection of its terrestrial environment, make it one of the last virgin marine territories of the south-west area of Mallorca.
The access to the cove is done optionally by boat, or by walking for about fifteen minutes along an easy path that crosses a typical Mediterranean pine forest, until we arrive at a beautiful little stone beach from which we will start our freediving excursion.
The bottoms and undersea walls in this area, will offer us a varied underwater landscape, which depth ranges from 4m to 20m.
We will guide you through the route to locate various caves, a beautiful siphon where bluish and beautiful lightings are formed. We will also discover some underwater rock bridges and a diversity of sedentary species such as white seabream, brown meagres, murenas or scorpionfish.
Finally, we have to mention an exciting underwater tunnel of about 30m of length, that crosses a small land line, and that can be managed by advanced freedivers in a controlled way.
